In addition to creating her own artist books and mixed-media works, Britt collaborates with other fine artists and designers to produce custom, limited edition and one-of-a kind artist book editions and custom enclosures. The studio is dedicated to the fusion of high craft and fine art with any and all types of collaborations.
“My work is primarily mixed-media in the form of works on paper and artist books. It incorporates sewing, drawing, printmaking, and typography. My goal is to create visual narratives that an audience can engage with in a more tactile way. It plays on the theme of family secrets, oral histories, and the fragility of memory. The work is meant to conceal and reveal with no definitive conclusion, leaving the viewer to draw connections to their own lived experience.”
