Collaborations
20 Collaborations
20 Collaborations In Book Art was a seven-year-long project that produced three exhibits at the Nashville Public Library Art Gallery in 2014, 2016, and 2018. I selected 20 artists every two years to collaborate on a one-of-a-kind artist book with me. The main criteria for the selection process was that the artist had never used the book form as their primary medium. It was also important to select artists from all walks of life and at differing stages in their careers, the youngest being 8 and the oldest being 80. This project demonstrated a commitment to diversity on every level, bringing book art to a wider audience through community engagement
Telling Stories
Telling stories makes us human. But what makes a story “telling”? This exhibit showcases a cross-section of Vanderbilt faculty research engaged with the role of story—in anthropology, archaeology, cinema and media arts, English literature, history, Jewish studies, Italian literature, music, religious studies, sociology, and urban studies.
